# School-Code-Compare

This program is written in the Perl Programming Language.

## Purpose

Compare files containing source code (or any plain text) on similarity to each other.
This may help you to find files with similar content.

The approach is simplistic:
Whitespace and comments are trimmed, then all files are compared using the Levenshtein algorithm.

Future releases may bring more sophisticated techniques.

## Example Usage

```bash
# create a list of files and pipe result     # start from source, as in this repository
find path/to/projects -type f -name Cow.java | perl -Ilib bin/find_similar_code.pl -i java -o html
```
