        - [Experimental] Previously, a module was assumed to be loaded when its
package exists. However, this presents a problem because declaring a
package like Foo::Bar::Baz automatically makes Foo and Foo::Bar
packages spring into existence (this is how Perl works), even though
the module might not be loaded yet. So now an additional check is
performed: whether $<PKG>::VERSION is defined. There will sometimes be
false negatives, but for proper modules this will not be a problem.
